5. Test connectivity

Test dual stack WebServer.

Steps:

  • Copy the IPv4 address of the launched instance from previous step.
  • Run following command (or use your favourite web browser)
curl -4 http://REPLACE-WITH-YOUR-INSTANCE-IPv4IP/
  • The web server should return with a successful JSon payload as follows:

  • Now switch to IPv6 Wifi (see presenter for details)
  • Repeat the above process with IPv6 IP Address of the instance.
  • Copy the IPv4 address of the launched instance from previous step.
  • Run following command (or use your favourite web browser)
curl -g -6 'http://[REPLACE-WITH-YOUR-INSTANCE-IPv6IP]/'
  • The web server should return with a successful JSon payload as follows:

  • Switch back to IPv4 Wifi.
